Poro[x]ity

Fall 2014 _ Mark Cabrinha + Meghan Dorrian
(Group Project)

In redesigning the CMU screen block for a competition held by the National Concrete Masonry Association, my group focused on exposing and restricting views through the orientation of the units. Each unit is comprised of two interlocking blocks, which may be rotated to allow different levels of lighting and views in. Three modules of different sizes were designed for maximum flexibility. These may follow a parametric pattern, or applied as needed, generating a flow to the whole wall.
